Overhead bridge cranes track

Nov 20, 2018
The overhead bridge crane running track has steel railway rails and square steel rail. The top of the steel railway rails is convex, and the bottom is a flat plate with a certain width, which increases the contact surface with the foundation; the cross section of the rail is mostly I-shaped and has good bending strength. Square steel rail can be regarded as a flat-top rail, due to the large wear of the wheel, it is generally only used for overhead bridge cranes with small weight, slow running speed and infrequent work. The steel railway rail is usually rolled from a steel material having a high carbon and manganese content (C=015% to 018%, Mn=016% to 115%), the typical material for the crane track is U71Mn steel. Square steel rail is mainly made of square steel or flat steel of Q275.

The overhead bridge crane steel rail is used as a special section rail for crane and trolleys. The standard lengths are 8 types: 9, 915, 10, 1015, 11, 1115, 12, 1215. Common specifications are QU70, QU80, QU100, QU120, and the numbers indicate the width of the track head. There are two kinds of railway rails: heavy rail and light rail. The rail specifications are expressed by the nominal weight per meter length. Rails with a weight greater than 30 kg/m are heavy rails. Standard rail lengths are 12150m and 25100m. The light rail is not more than 30kg/m, and the length is usually 5~12m. Light rail steel mostly are semi-killed steel of ordinary carbon structural steel, in order to improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the rail, in recent years, low alloy steel with alloying elements such as Mn, Si and P is used.
