Overhead bridge crane brake wheel is an important safety device, must ensure its safe and reliable use. If there is a defect on the surface of the overhead bridge crane brake wheel, it can be used as long as the defect is within the allowable range, but needs to be repaired. If the defect is exceeded and reach the scrap standard, should replace a new brake wheel.
Overhead bridge crane braking system currently adopt cast steel brake wheel, brake wheel material is generally ZG340-640, using castings processing, wheel surface treat with hardening, the hardness reach 400 ~ 450 HB, quenching depth range is 2 ~ 3mm.
In accordance with the relevant industry standards, the surface of the brake wheel needs to remain smooth with no obvious markings.
If the brake wheel wall thickness is 50% smaller than the original product, should be scrapped and replace a new one.
When the brake wheel wear reach 1.5mm, the brake should be repaired with quenching.
